Hong Kong Mercantile Exchange Announces the Appointment of Head of Marketing and Head of Human Resources

Head of Marketing and Head of Human Resources
 

Hong Kong, September 24, 2008– Hong Kong Mercantile Exchange (“HKMEx”), the newly established commodities futures exchange in Hong Kong, today announces the appointment of Mr. David Day as the Head of Marketing and Ms. Stella Tang as the Head of Human Resources.

David Day joins HKMEx as the Head of Marketing and is responsible for directing the Exchange's marketing strategy, driving membership expansion and developing new products. Previously, he was a Director in the Strategy & Business Development Group of Merrill Lynch based in Hong Kong. Prior to that, he served as a Vice President in the Financial Institutions Group of Goldman Sachs based in New York. He graduated with a Bachelor of Science from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.

Stella Tang joins HKMEx as the Head of Human Resources. She is a veteran in human resources management and organisation development. She has extensive experience in human resource policies and practices especially in culture building, change management and merger and acquisitions in the telecom and hospitality industry. She was the Director of Human Resources of Hong Kong CSL Limited and the Group Manager, Human Resources of PCCW Limited. She graduated from the University of Hong Kong with an honours degree in Social Sciences.
