HKMEx Market Open Delayed Due To Typhoon Signal No. 8

HONG KONG, 29 September, 2011– The Hong Kong Mercantile Exchange (HKMEx) announces that due to the issuance of Typhoon Signal No. 8 by the Hong Kong Observatory, market opening today has been delayed until further notice.

If the No. 8 signal is cancelled at or before 8pm today, trading on the exchange will begin two hours following the signal was cancelled. If the No. 8 signal remains in force at 8pm, the market will remain closed for the day.
